Funding innovative ideas for our classrooms
We fund new and innovative programs that enhance the curriculum.
Grant Guidelines
- Innovation focus: We fund new and innovative ideas. Programs funded two years in a row are no longer eligible—successful programs should become part of the regular curriculum with District or Parent Group funding.
- No capital improvements: We do not fund building or facility upgrades.
Annual Grants
Annual grants support larger classroom initiatives for the following school year.
- Amount: Over $500
- Timeline: Applications open in January, due in April, decisions announced in May
- Eligibility: Teachers and staff, with principal approval
- Categories: All subject areas and grade levels
Rolling Grants
For smaller, time-sensitive curriculum needs during the current school year.
- Amount: Up to $500
- Timeline: Open September through April
- Eligibility: Teachers and staff, with principal approval
Student Enrichment Grants
Need-based grants for individual students to participate in enrichment opportunities.
- Timeline: Open September through May
- Eligibility: Students currently enrolled in St. Helena Public Schools
- Requirements: Teacher/counselor/principal sponsor and parent signature
- Process: Applicants are interviewed by committee members
